You'll be promised the best Hospitality, No Doubt, as this is standard on the Rock! Stephenville will play host to our 3rd FireFit on the Rock and we can't wait to return! If you've never been to Newfoundland... then what are you waiting for! Check it out! This is an "Open Event". FROM THE MARINE ATLANTIC FERRY: You will arrive in scenic Port Aux Basques. From there, it will be a 2 hour drive on the Trans Canada Highway to the off ramp for Stephenville. You will then drive 20 minutes before reaching the Town of Stephenville. Hot Happenings & Special Events Welcome to the town of Stephenville. While in Stephenville for the FireFit Event, either as a competitor or a spectator, there are many things for your enjoyment. Why not make this a week long trip and take in some of the fine live theater with the Stephenville Festival ( www.stf.nf.ca ) . Another sugetion would be the many events and activities associated with The Town Of Stephenville Civic Holiday ( www.town.stephenville.nf.ca ) which will be celebrated on Monday, 1 August, 2005. Don't forget your camera as you enjoy the many hiking trails in the area or a drive around the scenic Port au Port Peninsula. The view is breathtaking! OTHER Spots of Interest

Tourism Newfoundland and Labrador website at: For those who want to explore! The French Ancestors Route, around the Port au Port Peninsula, brings you to such places as Cape St. George, La Grand Terre and L'anse a Canards. With towering cliffs, pebble beaches and a distinctive French culture, this will be a route you will be sure to enjoy. The Caribou Trail, 148 kilometers through the Long Range Mountains, terminates in the outport town of Burgeo, a town immortalized in Farley Mowatt's 'A Whale for the Killing...' Sandy Point the historic island of Sandy Point was once the largest settlement on the West Coast of Newfounland and the commercial center during the 1700's and 1800's. Local efforts are underway to establish a heritage and wildlife conservation area as Sandy Point is a nesting area of the piping plover, an endangered species, and the only known nesting area in North America of the European Black-headed gull. banquet and dance at the Stephenville Dome (competition site). This will be a steak dinner with all the fixings and a dance
