‘Grind in the City’
RULES & REGULATIONS
Rules |

1. |
May climb stairs in any manner, resting whenever necessary. |
2 |
Slower Competitors must yield to outside (left) when faster competitors are coming up behind and needing to pass. |
3. |
Must exit on top floor (Vancouver Lookout) or contact a FireFit Volunteer who will assist you. |
4. |
Elevator used for returning to Lobby Level only. |

Regulations |
1. |
All competitors are expected to be present at the event site half an hour before their start time. |
2. |
A Waiver & Release form must be signed by every competitor prior to participation. No one is allowed to participate without signing this form. You will receive & complete the waiver on the day of the event. |
3. |
Each competitor will be assigned a number which will be displayed on the front of the right leg of thier shorts or attached to their fire fighting helmet. |
4. |
A Start Order will be created from those Teams and Individuals who have registered to compete. Preference for start times will try to be accommodated on a first come first serve basis. On Event Day the Start Order will be posted in the Lobby of the Harbour Centre Towers. Late entries, space permitting, will be added to the end of the Start List.

5. |
Competitors will start at the West side of the Harbour Center Lobby located on the corner of Hastings & Seymour. Each competitor will be started by the Official Starter at 1 minute intervals. |
6. |
Competitors proceed up the tower at their own pace, resting whenever necessary. A Recovery Station will be located on the 10th, 20th & 30th floors. Floor Monitors will also be scattered throughout the tower to maintain flow and assist Competitors if necessary.

7. |
Competitors will exit on the 43rd floor into the Vancouver Lookout viewing area. Once a competitor crosses the finish line the time will be taken. The Competitor will then move into the Recovery Area to re-couperate. |
8. |
Team and Individual Results will be tabulated and posted at the Administration Table as they become available.

9. |
The Award's Ceremony will take place after the completion of the event (approx 2:00 p.m.). Categories for which recognition and awards will be given include: Top 3 Teams, Top 3 Individuals, Fastest Female, Fastest Over 40, Fastest Over 50 & Relay in both the FireFighter & Open Categories. Team Results are computed by combining the times of each team's 3 fastest competitors.

Team captains must make sure all members of their team are aware of the rules & regulations. |
11. |
These rules and regulations supercede all previous versions and may be amended as necessary by FireFit. |
