How do I change my login email and password?

I can’t find my Department on the list even though I’ve competed with this Department before.

I never got the activation email when I tried to create a FireFit Competitor Account.

My Teammate says they’ve complete their Competitor Account but they don’t appear on the list of members in my Department.

I'm on the list of Registered Department Users twice.

Login and Competitor Account FAQs

Q. How do I change my login email and password?

A. Login to your FireFit Competitor Account with the current login email and password.  Go to my User Profile on the right side menu.  Enter the new Email or Password; don’t forget to enter the new Password again in the Password-Confirm field. Note: Changing your email in the my Competitor Profile will not change the login email, this can only be accessed through the my User Profile.

Q. I can’t find my Department on the list even though I’ve competed with this Department before.

A. It’s possible something in your Department Profile was incomplete when we recreated the registration system.  Please contact FireFit for assistance.  Please do not create your Department again.

Q. I never got the activation email when I tried to create a FireFit Competitor Account.

A. Check you Junk Mail folder if you can't find it in your Junk or Spam folder contact FireFit for assistance.  Email FireFit with your First Name, Last Name, Email address and the details of your problem.

Q. My Teammate says they’ve complete their Competitor Account but they don’t appear on the list of members in my Department.

A. You can only access members who’ve selected your department in their Competitor Profile. 

1. Check to make sure they’ve selected the correct department. Ex. Edmonton Fire Department is not the same as Edmonton Fire Rescue.

2. The list of department members defaults to show only 10 entries you can change the number of entries shown to see more people in your department.

Q. I'm on the list of Registered Department Users twice.

A. Contact admin@firefit.com to have one of the accounts removed.  Include the login email and password that you're currently using and plan to keep.

 

Event Registration FAQs

Q. When am I able to Register for an Event?

A. In order to Register for an Event:

  1. Create a Competitor Account
  2. Login and Update/Complete the my Competitor Profile and my Health Questionnaire forms

Note: In order to register a Team or Relay all team members must also create and complete their Comeptitor Account.

Q. When does Event Registration cut off?

A. Registration cuts off the Wednesday prior to the event at 11:59 pm.  The Early Bird Price cut off is 4 weeks prior to the event.

 

Rules FAQs

Q. Who is eligible to compete at FireFit Events?

A. Active, medically cleared structural firefighters, 19 years or older.

Currently enrolled, medically cleared pre-fire service school students, 19 years or older.  Pre-fire service students require a letter from their school confirming that they are enrolled in a pre-fire service program and are covered by the school’s insurance. 

Note: Retired fire fighters, candidates in the hiring process and students who've graduated from a pre-fire service program but have not been hired by a fire department are not eligible to compete.

Q. What are the Equipment requirements?

A. Equipment requirements can be found on the FireFit Rules page.

Q. What are the boots requirements?

A. Boot requirements can be found on the FireFit Rules page.

Q. Can I paint my helmet?

A. Painting of helmets is allowed no other adjustments or additions may be made. All gear MUST have NFPA 1971 label attached, please ensure the person painting your helment knows they cannot make any other alteration.

 

Competition FAQs

Q. Does FireFit have equipment I can borrow?

A. Yes:

FireFit provides the Scott NxG7, high pressure breathing apparatus which must be worn by all participants.

FireFit provides face piece for use with the Scott NxG7, competitors are welcome to use their own face piece, no modifications to the face piece are permitted.

FireFit provides loaner boots, jackets and pants.  FireFit cannot guarantee that your exact size will be available.

FireFit does not provide gloves or helmets, please bring your own.

Q. Do I need to go to Registration Confirmation on the Friday night before the event?

A. Yes, you need to sign your waiver and confirm that your registration is correct, that you are participating in that event, that your team's registration is correct and no one has dropped out or been replaced by someone else.  The startlist cannot be finalized until EVERYONE has signed their waiver.
